The first steps in choosing the right practice, starts with going to a practice that specializes in treating your specific symptoms. At Abundant Life Chiropractic we are great at things like ; neck pain, back pain, headaches, neuropathies, and chronic fatigue. Once you have found the right clinic, the next step is making sure the clinic itself has a billing team that works with Medicare. At Abundant Life Chiropractic, we do work with Medicare.

  • What to expect with Medicare
[/list]

There are some bad vibes out there, stating that medicare is no longer good, or insurance won’t help get you healthy. Well, today, we are going to debunk that. Medicare does cover active chiropractic therapy for acute injuries for 90 consecutive days. Chiropractic therapy falls into the category of the chiropractic adjustment of spinal manipulation. Although they do not cover passive therapies and modalities, medicare does cover the physical adjustment (the most important part of alleviating pain). This is why it is so important that your second step is finding a medicare chiropractor, or an office that physically works with medicare.

  • Will Medicare cover all my chiropractic expenses?

Medicare with cover all your chiropractic adjustments with the realm of what is deemed medically necessary. Keep in mind all insurances generally have a deductible and co-pay system as well. This means as soon as you meet your deductible, your co-pay comes to life and you just pay your co-pay for medicare covered expenses moving forward. The reason we suggest you find a medicare chiropractor, or a chiropractor familiar with the medicare statutes and regulations, is so that you can use the health care benefits which you have worked hard for.

  • Is chiropractic safe for older frail individuals?

Potentially the most common question we see in the office, is if chiropractic is safe for individuals with osteoporosis or osteopenia. The answer is yes. With that being said, it is important to find a physician who is trained in gentle non-invasive adjustments. At Abundant Life Chiropractic, in Chanhassen, our doctors use torque release technique, a state of the art technique that involves no popping, twisting or cracking of the spine. Everything is done very specifically with an instrument. This largely contributes to the Medicare aged population we take care.
