Chiropractic Origins
Chiropractic is the largest natural health care profession. Millions of people all over the world have experienced the tremendous benefits found in gentle, safe and effective chiropractic care. The chiropractic profession was originally founded by a man by the name of D. D. Palmer in 1895 in Davenport, IA.
Ever since, chiropractic has flourished and touched many live across the United states and the rest of the world. Chiropractors have been helping people for over 120 years. Today, there exist 42 chiropractic colleges and universities that provide a holistic and modern education. By the time a young doctor graduates, they are proficient in diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions.
Chiropractic Techniques
There are many directions that a chiropractor can focus his or her energy and attention. There exist more than 100 various analysis and treatment techniques that range from scoliosis treatment to nutritional consultations to pediatric specialties.
Our Technique
At Abundant Life Chiropractic, our team utilizes the only chiropractic technique born in the 21 century called Torque Release Technique (TRT). TRT primarily utilizes gentle touch and a light force produced by an instrument called the Integrator. The basic principle of the instrument is speed and frequency. The incredible speed (1/10,000 of a second) allows less mass to produce a significant amount of force (F = M x A). The second benefit of the Integrator is the frequency that it brings into the body. Our nervous system vibrates at a certain frequency – the Integrator is tuned to the same frequency. This allows the nervous system to efficiently integrate and process the new corrective information.
TRT is a technique that focuses on key areas in the spine – the meninges, or areas of attachment of the spinal cord to the spinal bones. This leads to a specific and effective adjustment that will bring real changes and help promote true healing. Every adjustment that our clinic provides leads to deep neurological change that help relieve tension from the nervous system.
According to Dr. McMahan, “The primary intent of the Torque Release Technique is to progressively reduce blockages and tension of the entire spinal system, to release trapped, unresolved neurological patterns in the body and mind, and to facilitate the reintegration of the nervous system, allowing a greater expression of one’s healing and performance capabilities.”
