Aging GracefullyAt Abundant Life Chiropractic, we enjoy taking care of f patients ranging from infants to elders. Occasionally we will hear the phrase, “I am too old to fix, or I have too much going on to be helped. ” This could not be further from the truth. We have seen many elders experience the benefits of gentle and specific torque release adjustments first hand.

Beyond cosmetic looks and avoiding the common “nursing home posture,” there are many reasons for elderly patients to receive the benefits of specific neurological-based chiropractic care.

Lets start with structure. Maintenance in the structure of your spine is vital for three reasons. Structure equals function. The structure of your spine is the armor to your central nervous system (which controls every function of your body). In turn, maintaining proper spinal hygiene will not only keep you from developing a back hump, but also keep your body functioning at an optimal level.

Next is the importance in keeping motion in the joints. At Abundant Life Chiropractic, we strongly believe in keeping you healthy and INDEPENDENT throughout all walks of life. When your spine isn’t “stuck,” your joints move more freely. This will result in a decrease in the development of arthritis and pain, but most importantly give you the freedom to live life independently.

Finally, 90% of the nutrition to the brain is through something called proprioception. Proprioceptors are sensors elicited through motion that provide information to the brain. When your spine is in proper alignment, your joints and bones can move freely with one another resulting in more proprioceptive signals to the brain.

At Abundant Life Chiropractic, we take pride in our neurological-based technique. Not only is the technique specific and gentle, but it also results in postural changes in the spine. No matter what walk of life you are in, you deserve the benefits of specific chiropractic care.
