At Abundant Life Chiropractor, we firmly believe that your body is a temple and should be well cared for. This means we focus on overall wellness, not just your spine! In order to help our clients eat right and feel great, we wanted to provide you with a list of 20 snacks with 100 calories or less to help you stay on track with healthy eating!
- Berries and Cream: 1 cup of blueberries with 2 tablespoons of whipped topping
- Carrots and Hummus: 10 baby carrots with 2 tablespoons of hummus
- Edamame: 1/4 cup boiled Edamame with 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
- Sweet Potato Fries: One light-bulb sized sweet potato, sliced and tossed with 1 teaspoon of olive oil, baked at 400 degrees for 10 minutes
- Turkey Roll-Ups: 4 slices turkey rolled up in large romaine lettuce leaves, dipped in 2 teaspoons of honey mustard
- Chips and Salsa: 10 baked pita chips with 1/4 cup pico de gallo or chunky salsa
- Apples and Peanut Butter: 1/2 an apple, sliced and dipped in 1 teaspoon of natural peanut butter
- Nuts: 10 almonds or cashews, or 1 tablespoon of nut butter
- Mixed Raw Veggies: cut celery, bell peppers, and carrots into slices and dip in 1/4 cup fat-free ranch dressing
- Cottage Cheese + Fruit: 1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese with 5 strawberries
- Baked Apple: 1 apple, baked and topped with 1 tbsp of low-fat yogurt and cinnamon
- Popcorn: 3 cups of air-popped popcorn
- Milk and Cookies: 3 vanilla wafers + 1/2 cup skim milk
- Yogurt and Granola: 1/2 cup fat-free reduced calorie yogurt with 1 tbsp reduced-fat granola
- Grapefruit and Sugar: 1 small grapefruit with 2 tsp of sugar
- Frozen Grapes: 28 grapes placed in the freezer for 2+ hours
- Honeyed Yogurt: 1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt with 1 dash cinnamon and 1 tsp honey
- Spiced Orange: 1 medium orange sprinkled with cinnamon
- Citrus-Berry Salad: 1 cup mixed berries (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries) tossed with 1 tbsp orange juice
- Cafe’ Latte: 8 ounces steamed skim milk with 1 shot espresso
